Canon’s refreshed TM and TX Series printers have just landed on the site, and we’ve updated our Canon TM large format printer video showcase with footage of the new range, so this felt like the right moment to walk through what’s actually changed.
Both ranges were announced globally by Canon on 15 September 2026. The new TM Series is landing across the UK from October 2026, with the new TX Series following from November 2026, succeeding the outgoing TX-3200.
New in the TM Series
The TM Series is Canon’s entry-to-mid level CAD production range, covering A1 (24-inch) and A0 (36-inch) widths. Every model in the new line-up carries over the 5-colour LUCIA TD pigment ink system and PF-06 FINE print head, with a newly formulated high-density matte black ink for crisper lines and text, printing up to 2400 x 1200 dpi.
A1 (24-inch) models:
- TM-500 — Canon’s new entry-level model, aimed at technical documents and low-coverage posters.
- TM-510 — the mid-tier step up, with larger 130ml/90ml ink tanks for lower running costs on busier volumes.
- TM-515 — the range-topping 24-inch model.
- TM-510M — the A1 multi-function model, and one of the first TM Series printers with a genuinely built-in large format scanner rather than an external bolt-on unit, with dual-side LED illumination and preset modes for CAD line drawings, blueprints, tracing paper and more.
A0 (36-inch) models:
- TM-610 — the new mid-tier 36-inch model, stepping up from the TM-600 with larger ink tanks.
- TM-615 — the range-topping 36-inch model, adding a 256GB hard drive for larger CAD files and busier print queues.
- TM-610M — the A0 multi-function model with the same built-in scanner as the TM-510M.
New in the TX Series
The TX Series sits a step above TM — Canon positions it for the “high-productivity demands of construction, design and manufacturing operations”: larger AEC&M organisations, corporate and government departments, and print service providers.
- TX-3300 (36-inch) and TX-4300 (44-inch) — printer-only models with hot-swappable ink tanks (change ink mid-job without stopping a run), a 256GB encrypted hard drive, and borderless printing via Canon’s Micro Margin Technology. Security features include PIN-code printing and encrypted communications, aimed at corporate and government print environments.
- TX-3310 MFP Z36 (36-inch) and TX-4310 MFP Z36 (44-inch) — the same print engines paired with an integrated Z36 large format scanner (built by Global Scanning) and a 15.6-inch touch monitor, running Canon’s SmartWorks MFP software for scan-to-copy, scan-to-file and scan-to-email. Worth noting: the Z36 scanner’s own maximum scan width is 36″, so on the 44-inch TX-4310 the scanner is narrower than the printer’s full print width.
Watch Them in Action
Rather than judging either range off a spec sheet, our Canon TM video showcase now has the new TM and TX models running, alongside the wider Design Supply product video library covering our full large format printer range.
