Lamination protects and preserves all kinds of wide format prints from spills, grease, chemicals, rain, fingerprints, abrasions, creases, wrinkles and sunlight. Lamination enhances almost any type of wide format print by deepening and brightening colours and improving contrast.

The Easymount range of laminating systems include the following wide format sizes: 650mm, 880mm, 1200mm, 1400mm, 1600mm, 1650mm, and 2100mm (26, 34, 47, 55, 63, 65 and 83 inches). Easymount wide format laminating systems are available in cold (uses pressure to laminate, good for heat sensitive originals such as vinyls), single hot (uses heat to laminate, single-sided, good for wide format originals that can withstand heat) , and double hot (uses heat to laminate, double-sided good for wide format originals that can withstand heat and require lamination on both sides).

Pneumatic air pressure controls the laminating rollers, allowing the roller to adjust to the exact thickness and pressure required, delivering faster production times, more accurate board feeding, protection for soft materials like Corex, Foamex or fluted boards and eliminating the need for mechanical wedges.

The Easymount Air EM-A1600SH wide format laminating system is easy to operate. New swing out arms make loading laminate and film easier. Whether loading the front mandrel with vinyl or the rear mandrel with laminate, both swing out, making it easier to load. For controlled operation, a variable speed control and a foot pedal are included, as well as a handy reverse mode. An easy to use control panel includes multiple language support.

The Easymount Air EM-A1600SH is solidly built from heavy duty steel and is the ideal solution for sign makers, wide format printers and vehicle graphics companies. With a maximum width of 63-inches and featuring a release liner take-up, the Easymount Air EM-1600SH can be outfitted with an optional rear take-up unit and an optional silent compressor.

SPECIFICATIONS

The Easymount Air EM-1600SH wide format laminating system has a laminating speed of up to 10m/33ft per minute and able to mount to boards up to 1 3⁄16 inches in thickness. The EM-A1600SH has a warm-up time of ten minutes, and has a laminating temperature range of 0-60ºC/32-140ºF. The roller diameter is 130mm/5 inches, and the pressure adjustment is pneumatic. The film core is 77mm/3 inches. The Easymount Air EM-A1600SH wide format laminating system features a multilingual digital control panel, in English, Spanish, Italian, French, and German languages.

Easymount Air uses a patented pneumatic air technology that allows the rollers to float down, protecting soft materials such as Corex, Foamex and fluted boards from being inadvertently crushed. The large 130mm/5-inch adjustable cambered rollers evenly distribute pneumatic pressure across the full width of the system. When the rollers achieve the correct board thickness, the roller can be locked in place to keep the required gap, making board feeding more accurate and eliminating the need for mechanical wedges.

The Easymount Air EM-A1600SH can also mount prints and vinyl to many different materials, including aluminum substrate, fluted boards such as Corex, foam boards and even glass. The system can also be used to apply tapes and adhesive film.

Optional accessories for the Easymount Air EM-A1600SH wide format laminating system include a rear take up unit, silent compressor, additional mandrels and a flow table.

The Easymount Air EM-A1600SH wide format laminating system handles a full range of cold pressure and thermal laminates including matte, gloss, soft touch, sandtex and anti-graffiti. The EM-A1600SH is compatible with Vivid Laminating Technologies own brand, BOSS range of cold and thermal laminating films suitable for aqueous and solvent-based inkjet print, as well as fast-curing types such as UV and HP Latex. BOSS media includes mounting films, pressure sensitive laminating films (gloss, ‘crystal’ matte, satin matte, flat matte in 80 and/or 100 micron) 100 micron UV pressure sensitive over laminates (gloss and crystal matte), Sandtex pressure sensitive film and release paper (Sandtex 150 micron, Glitter finish 220 micron) and Anti-Graffiti laminating films (Dry Wipe (UV) and Anti-Graffiti (UV) Outdoor).
