Brilliant Image Quality

The Canon imagePROGRAF TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner features single sensor accurate scanning technology combined with the LUCIA TD 5-colour all pigment ink system which produces the sharpest, thinnest lines. The scanner features multiple LED illumination and a maximum resolution of 1200 dpi.

The LUCIA TD Ink system features a uniquely formulated MBK, which features high surface tension, eliminating feathering and generating crisp, sharp lines. Drawings can be precisely reproduced even on uncoated papers. LUCIA TD inks also create weather resistant prints, enabling outdoor viewing and easy handling of drawings. Enhanced reactivity between the LUCIA TD pigments and media components means pigments stays close on the media surface, allowing colours to be vivid, even on plain paper. Designed specifically for CAD, GIS, and Poster applications, a minimum line width of 0.02mm can be achieved with a range accuracy of +/- 0.01%.

The 5-colour all pigment LUCIA TD inks are available in 130 and 300 ml, and deliver improved magenta  and black print quality on plain paper and higher density clearer lines and text on uncoated paper with vivid colour expression.

The improved LUCIA TD magenta ink expands the colour gamut and improves the  clarity and vibrancy of red, perfect for high-precision CAD drawings and posters alike.  The TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner delivers better and brighter reds, especially for company logos and corporate colours.

The Canon Lucia TD Inks include two types of black inks with different surface tension.  Matte Black (MBK) ink with high surface tension enables minimal spreading of ink droplets, and pigment remains near the surface.  This is suitable for producing crisp lines and dense text with minimal feathering. Black lines are sharper and more crisp making small text and detailed expression like hatching is better reproduced with the TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner .

Print vivid posters with intense and vivid colours, even on plain paper with the newly designed colour matching table for the TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner . Increased saturation and density improves visibility, producing posters that are printed in vivid and deep colours. Combined with the new Magenta LUCID Ink, true red lines are achieved. Posters, including corporate colours, will be more consistent and accurate.

The TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner includes a built-in colour calibration multi-sensor, ideal for users with multiple Canon printers in multiple locations.  The colour density sensor delivers colour stability and consistency among multiple Canon printers, by compensating for individual differences in print head and variations in ouput colour due to aging.

Improved Productivity and Reliability

The Canon imagePROGRAF TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner features enhanced performance with high speed scanning of 13 ips and printing of 17 seconds for A1 prints and 32 seconds for A0 prints . The 6-channel, 1.07 print head optimises ink transfer and delivers 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution.

The Canon TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner features the L-COA Pro II processing engine with up to 28% faster productivity than the previous Canon TM Series. The L-COA PRO II returns to printing faster from sleep mode, provides faster processing page-to page, and lowers total power consumption.

The Canon TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner features borderless printing. Borderless printing can be performed on rolls of all standard widths by printing until outside of the media to eliminate the margins,  or non-standard widths through highly accurate margins.  The borderless printing technology embedded in the TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner includes an advanced multi-sensor that detects the edge of the paper in real time, to print to the inside edge of the paper.  The advanced multi-sensor algorithm enables and controls the position to start printing by considering the thickness of the paper and the position of the printhead and borderless printing is achieved by accurate margin adjustment.  Further fine correction of printing position can by achieved by using an adjustment chart.  Borderless printing is possible on all roll paper widths, regardless of paper type or paper size. You can even produce three-sided borderless prints for target image sizes, so you only need to cut one side to finish. Borderless printing technology keep you more productive as there is no need for offline trimming and Auto Skew Correction enables unattended printing by automatically adjusting for any skew in orientation and feeds the paper/media correctly.

The TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner  includes an internal encrypted 500GB hard disk and with 128GB standard memory and 2GB of physical memory, making no print job is too complex. The TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner supports direct printing of PDF’s from a USB stick, without the use of a PC or computer.

More Intuitive Functionality

The Canon TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner features dedicated scanner software for parallel processing, accessible from a 15.6″ touchscreen panel located on the scanner, for  simultaneously printing and scanning. Scan a minimum width of 150mm/6″ and a maximum width of 914mm/36″ and a minimum document thickness of 0.07mm and a maximum thickness of 10mm.  The scanner scans documents up to a maximum in length of 8m (JPEG, PDF), 15.2m TIFF, and a maximum width of 965mm/38″. Documents are scanned face up,  and exit to the rear. For ease of use, document return guides are included.

The Canon TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner features flat top design, creating  a worktop area for replacing roll paper or checking print samples. The roll cover features improved visibility.

Canon’s smart media handling for the TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner  includes automatic paper feed, automatic paper detection, and an automatic estimate of remaining amount, reducing mistakes in paper settings and contributing to operation efficiency.  When using roll media, the media type is detected automatically, as well as remaining paper length.

The Canon imagePROGRAF TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner accepts roll and cut media with a thickness range of 0.07 to 0.8mm. The minimum print length is 203.2mm, and the maximum print length for roll paper is 18 meters, and cut sheet up to 1.6 meters. The maximum media roll diameter is 150mm.

The Canon TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner  features a  tilting touchscreen panel on the printer, which  displays media type, media size, remaining length and remaining ink amount, removing the guesswork for multiple users.  Adjust the angle for easy viewing and the LCD panel size from 3 to 4.3 inches for best readability.

The Canon TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner features 130 and 300 ml ink tanks, installed at the front right of the printer and can be replaced during printing for maximum productivity.

Printed drawings can be viewed at outdoor construction and engineering sites, in long-term storage and on outdoor posters. Thanks to superb colour reproduction even on economical uncoated paper, ink performance exceeds the needs for poster quality on both coated and uncoated paper. LUCIA TD  pigment inks suppress bleeding at the edges of thin lines, achieving high quality text and lines by precisely controlling the position where ink droplets land in bi-directional printing.  In addition to high quality CAD prints the Canon TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner delivers vivid posters on plain papers and outdoor poster solutions. Pigment inks are used in all colours, minimising fading and increasing the longevity of the prints.

Environmental sustainability

State of the art noise reduction technology make the new Canon TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner one of the quietest machines on the market, ideal for small spaces. The low vibration motor, silencer and other technologies reduce the printing noise, making the printer less distracting, even next to your desk. The previous TM Series have a operating noise of 44 dB and the TM-350 and TM-355 have a 1/2 of the operating noise at 41 dB.

The Canon L-COA PRO II processor lowers total power consumption,  returns to printing faster from sleep mode, improves PDF performance and provides faster processing page-to page.

Software Solutions for the Canon TM-355 MFP Z36 include SmartWorks MFP , Direct Print and Share,  Poster Artist, Direct Print Plus, Free Layout Plus, Media Configuration Tool, Account Manager, Quick Utility Toolbox and Device Management Console. 

SmartWorks MFP sets the scan directory and enables scanning, copying and archiving to USB, PC or file formats. Direct Print and Share enables cloud connectivity and printing.

Direct Print Plus is a job submission tool for efficient output workflow.  Multiple files of different file formats can be efficiently printed with simple drag and drop operation. Quickly view previews and make print settings immediately, and use minimum one click print, to streamline your workflow.  Direct Print Plus prevents failed printing with smart warning messages including missing image and paper mismatch.

Free Layout Plus gives you the ability to easily create large-size prints of documents from familiar software like Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Word or Adobe PhotoShop and extra-large posters by combining multiple printer-width prints.    Free Layout Plus also enables the creation and printing of folded, double-sided posters for hanging.

Media Configuration Tool allows the editing media information such as changing names and order of media in operation panel or Printer driver.  Custom media information can be added to suit individual printing needs and purposes.

Account Manager calculates cost of ink and paper used. Printing cost management is easy with the built-in Account Manager which collects job logs and automatically calculates costs per job or time period and can be set up for multiple printers. Data can be compiled by department or by user. Quick Utility Toolbox enables one touch activation of functions you want to use. Device Management Console enables centralised management of multiple printers including the TM Series.

All Canon TM Software is available to download from the Web.    The TM-355 MFP Z36 A0 printer and scanner also supports HPGL/2, HP RTL, and JPEG (ver. JFIF 1.02).  The TM-255/355/350 also supports CALS G4 (submission via FTP only) and PDF (Ver 1.7).  All TM Printers work with Apple AirPrint.
