Intelligent design features make the ValueJet VJ-1617H easy to set up and operate. The ValueJet VJ-1617H comes with a stand and integrated front and rear roller tables. The ValueJet VJ-1617H can accommodate rigid materials up to 15mm thick with a maximum weight of 15kg. Automatic media thickness detection is measured electronically and head height is adjusted automatically, simplifying set up and changes in media.

The ValueJet VJ-1617H features an integrated full width 64″ Air Knife Media Drying System which ensures output is dry straight from the printer. The air knife delivers instant heat from the top allowing quick drying of roll and rigid prints. A range of surface temperatures of up to 50C enable wide substrate compatibility.

Optional items for the ValueJet VJ-1617H Printer include Media Transport Tables, Motorised Torque Take up Systems, SpectroVue VM-10 specrophotometer, and ValueCut Systems. The Media Transport Tables included three arms with an integrated roller ball system to feed rigid and semi-rigid media into the printer. The Take-up Systems are designed for roll to roll productivity.

Directly attachable to the print head carriage or shuttle of the printer, the SpectroVue VM-10allows monitoring of colour drift over time, from job-to-job or even within a large job. The VM-10 can also be used to build ICC colour profiles and linearization files, in combination with supporting software. The VM-10 allows fast, simple and accurate colour measuring and process control to your workflow, producing consistent colour prints every time with the on-board ColorVerify system. The ValueCut Systems are designed for ultimate productivity for cutting output.

The ValueJet VJ-1617H can be used for both car wraps and rigid substrates with equal ease. It prints directly onto corrugated plastics, polystyrene, banner material, vinyl and wall coverings, as well as roll surfaces with a wide colour gamut. .

The Mutoh ValueJet VJ-1617H Printer is designed for use with Mutoh MP11 Multi-Purpose renewable resource Inks available in C, M, Y, and K and white. Mutoh MP11 inks are UV alternative bio-based inks which create high quality prints on both rigid and roll substrates, suitable for outdoor and indoor applications and offer UV durability without lamination for up to three years outdoor. In case mechanical stress is involved, lamination is required and stabilisation is required prior to lamination. Mutoh MP11 inks are available in 950ml (CMYK) and 500ml (white). The average ink consumption is 8ml/m² at 720 dpi with 67% coverage for graphics. Suited for both high quality and high speed printing, Mutoh UMS inks also require minimal printer maintenance and are fixed and dried at regular heating temperatures.

Mutoh’s new wide piezo drop-on-demand print head features 1440 nozzles. The 1440 nozzle head includes four colour sections (C, M, Y, K) each divided in two nozzle rows with 180 nozzles per colour. Because all colour head sections are united in one head, there is no need for time consuming head-to-head calibration routines. The print head is capable of producing ink drops ranging from 3.6 picoliters to 15.5 picoliters, resulting in incredible accuracy, sharpness, and speed. Increased accuracy and consistency of dot size and dot release during printing improves the image, in addition to increased dot gain control, allowing for more latitude in profile settings.

Mutoh’s award-winning Intelligent Interweaving print technology drastically reduces or totally eliminates the typical difficulties inherent to conventional digital inkjet printing, including defects such as horizontal banding, ink mottle, bleed and the visible effects of missing or misfiring nozzles.
