The Epson SureColor SC-T3700E printer is an economical production solution. Automatic roll feeding saves time loading new media or switching between different size rolls. Automatic roll feeding aligns and adjusts paper for optimal tension during loading. The SC-T3700E accepts rolls of media from 17- 24 inches and accepts cut sheet media via the sheet friction feed.

The SC-T3700E includes enhanced security and IT tools to ensure peace of mind when working with confidential documents. With over 28 IT security features to assist with data protection and communication security, the SC-T3700E can be configured with an optional encrypted SSD , NFC Card support and support for Epson Print Admin. Improved collaboration and workload management deliver more efficiency with Epson’s central management tracking applications: Epson Cloud Solutions PORT and Epson Device Admin for IT managers. Epson Cloud Support PORT platform enables remote monitoring of equipment across sites, or multiple printers at one site, anytime and anywhere. The SC-T3700E achieves high productive output speeds with the Epson PrecisionCore Micro TIP printhead, Variable Sized Droplet Technology and Nozzle Verification Technology. The Epson SureColor SC-T3700E printer features the new PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead, state of the art technology resulting in fast, highly productive and reliable results. Complex jobs are printed with ease with unparalleled precision. The PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead is 2.64 inches (compared to the previous 1-inch version)and 1600 nozzles per colour resulting in increased productivity and high speed continuous printing. The permanent PrecisionCore printhead provides long-life performance and combined with 700 ml ink cartridges maximize productivity. The Epson SureColour SC-T3700E printer produces up to 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution and has a maximum print speed of up to 130m²/hour or 3 A1 landscape sheets per minute using standard matte media. CAD A1 size can be print in as little as 16 seconds, and a Poster (BO size) can be printed in as little as 46 seconds. Variable Sized Droplet Technology ensures superb image quality with a minimum droplet size of 3.5 picolitres coupled with Nozzle Verification Technology, an auto nozzle check system can be performed before every job or can be set to run automatically between jobs during unattended printing.

The Epson SureColor SC-T3700 Series has a versatile design which makes this printer an ideal fit for most offices. Compact, its ideal for small spaces, and its flat top surface is ideal for editing and as a proofing bench. Front operation means the printer can be placed up against a wall, maximising floor space. Front access to the roll holders, ink cartridges, maintenance box and integrated print catch basket aid in operation and make it easy to use in a variety of environments. The Integrated Print Catch Basket is simple and effective, and folds away completely saving space when not in use. The award-winning Epson UltraChrome XD3 ink set delivers superior image quality. UltraChrome XD3 is a 6-colour ink system (photo black, matte black, cyan, yellow, magenta and red) which produces durable prints with crisp lines and vibrant colours thanks to a new red ink. UltraChrome XD3 durable inks are water, smudge and fade-resistant. Photo and Matte blacks deliver deep blacks and crisp, dense lines, ideal for technical graphics, and the vibrant colours necessary for high quality prints and posters, on coated and non-coated media including board up to 1.5mm thick. Available in both 700 and 350 ml size cartridges, UltraChrome XD3 inks are easily replaceable accessed at the front of the SC-T3700E.

Optional accessories for the SC-T3700E include a 1 TB SDD, additional 24-inch roll feed spindles, and a 24-inch production stacker. Reduce print times in a busy workgroup environment with powerful processing using the optional 1 TB SSD, offering a large amount of storage space and faster data processing for job caching and recall. The industry leading encrypted high capacity 960GB SSD saves jobs directly to the printer. MANUFACTURER INFORMATION

In 1993, Epson entered the inkjet printing market with the innovative Epson Stylus 800, and introduced its market changing printhead with Epson Micro Piezo technology, making a permanent technological advancement which remains at the forefront today. In 1994, Epson introduced the Stylus Pro, the world’s first 720 dpi colour inkjet printer. In 1998, the Epson Stylus Pro 800 was selected by NASA for the STS-95 mission and Epson introduced the first colour inkjet printer with built-in USB connectivity. Epson continues to develop breakthroughs in technology and applications as print, projection and display needs evolve, building on more than 60 years of innovation of Seiko Epson, which began as a watchmaker.

Epson SureColor SC-T printers incorporate a number of Epson proprietary technologies including Micro Piezo, PrecisionCore, Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT), Exotic Thin Film Piezo (TFP), Low Vibration Meniscus Control and UltraChrome Inks. Epson SureColor T Series (technical) printers are the latest generation of printers from Epson, building on the success of the Stylus Pro Series.

Epson introduced the award-winning proprietary piezo-electric technology, called Micro Piezo in 1993, and Micro Piezo has made Epson inkjet printers renowned for their high quality output, reliability, and low running costs. Today, Epson is the only company that uses the piezo-electric printhead throughout its inkjet printing device range, from the smallest personal photo printer to the largest industrial system. Epson Micro Piezo technology fires ink droplets onto a surface by applying an electric charge to piezo-electric elements, which bend when an electrical charge is passed through them. Using piezo-electric technology, the amount of ink pulled into and expelled out of the nozzles can be very accurately controlled by varying the electrical charge given to the piezo-electric elements. This enables the printhead to eject ink droplets in a range of precisely controlled sizes. Ink droplets are propelled instead of heating the ink, which results in a wider range of printing applications and media compatibility, including paper, and industrial applications, fabric printing, indoor filter fabrication and applying patterns to electronic circuit boards. Epson Micro Piezo technology minimises impact on the environment because it uses ink very efficiently and places ink droplets accurately, to prevent wasted paper. The printheads last the lifetime of the printer.

Epson PrecisionCore printhead technology delivers Epson’s renowned industry-leading output quality at high speed. Inch for inch, the high-resolution Epson print chips are one of the fastest inkjet printing technologies in the world. PrecisionCore piezo elements each fire nearly 50,000 times per second. PrecisionCore has up to triple the nozzle density of conventional Epson piezo printheads. The nozzles are roughly 20 microns in diameter and deliver small, round, repeatable dots about 40 microns across. This dot precision creates sharp text and fine lines. PrecisionCore uses the power of the piezo crystal to increase reliability. The piezo element generates a voltage that can detect in milliseconds, whether its firing normally and self diagnose its health. The automatic nozzle check system uses advanced ink droplet detection to eliminate misprinting caused by nozzle clogging. Ink drops with an electrical charge are read by a sensor which takes less than 15 seconds, requires no media and consumes only a miniscule amount of ink. PrecisionCore’s micro-mechanical firing elements avoid material limitations faced by heat-based systems. More colourful and durable ink formulations with higher concentrations of colorants and binders can be used compared to heat-based systems, allowing for printing on a much wider range of substrates. PrecisionCore Scalable Technology is designed for products ranging from industrial systems such as large-scale label presses to desktop printers. Its modularity allows PrecisionCore print chips to be arrayed in both moving serial and fixed line printhead configurations.

Epson Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT) refers to the capability of Epson’s Micro Piezo printhead technology to eject ink droplets of different sizes by varying the electrical charge give to the piezo-electric elements. Epson’s SureColor printers can achieve variable sized ink droplets as small as 3.5 picoliters. Such superior precision results in sharp, rich, and virtually grain-free text and images, key qualities strongly associated through the years with Epson’s renowned photo-quality prints. Epson Micro Piezo printheads run much cooler than thermal inkjet ones and can provide reliable operation for the life span of the printer. Epson ink cartridges do not require a printhead attached, making the ink cartridges more affordable, and environmentally friendly. Epson Micro Piezo printheads use less power than thermal inkjet printheads because the piezo-electric method of ink ejection is far more efficient.

The Epson SureColor SC-T7700 Series features the new Epson Micro Piezo TFP printhead, which includes Epson variable size ink drop technology, delivering superb quality prints with smooth gradations and grain reduction at high speed with a print resolution of up to 2400 dpi. The advanced Micro Piezo TFP printhead features higher performance and greater durability with 1600 nozzles for each colour (cyan, magenta, and yellow) and 1600 nozzles for black.

The award-winning Epson UltraChrome XD3 Ink developed for the latest generation of inkjet professional printers is a significant advancement in print technology. Epson has developed several variations of UltraChrome Ink, for different needs and applications. Epson UltraChrome inks are available in XD3, XD, High Dynamic Range (HDR), Hi-Gloss, Hi-Gloss 2, K3, K3 with Vivid Magenta, and GS. Epson UltraChrome XD3 Inks include a new Red ink and have superb short term stability and can be used on a wide variety of media. Epson UltraChrome XD3 features two-level black ink technology. The two tones of black, photo or matte are automatically selected depending on the media to optimise density of ink on different medias, resulting in the highest quality in both black-and-white and colour. Epson UltraChrome XD3 aqueous pigment ink colours include cyan, yellow, magenta and red. UltraChrome XD3 uses specially formulated resin-encapsulated pigments which stabilise quickly and are extremely water resistant.
