Ask five people what “large format media” means and you’ll get five different answers — paper, film, canvas, vinyl, fabric and wallpaper all fall under it, and our new 2026/27 price list alone covers 348 lines across 10 ranges. Rather than list every roll here (that’s what the price list is for), this guide walks through what each range is actually built for, so you can go straight to the right one instead of guessing.
Matte & CAD Papers
If you’re printing line drawings, plans, GIS maps or posters day to day, this is your everyday range. DS Jet White MasterQ 90gsm (from £13.95 a roll) is our most established CAD paper — bright white with sharp line definition, and trimmed exactly to the edge of A1/A0 so there’s no trimming needed. Need denser colour and blacks for today’s 6, 8 and 12-colour machines? Step up to DS Gold Standard Premium in 100, 120 or 180gsm (from £20.01).
Proofing Papers
This range exists for one job: matching what comes off your printer to what comes off a commercial press, to a certified standard. Every DS Proof paper is FOGRA-approved (across the FOGRA39, 47, 51 and 52 standards) for accurate, repeatable colour — essential if you’re supplying proofs to a print buyer or repro house, and unnecessary for most other work. From £35.68 a roll.
Photo Papers
Lustre, satin, gloss or semi-matte, for posters, displays and photographic reproduction where colour and sharpness matter more than cost. DS Semi Matte Paper 150gsm (from £31.72) is the practical entry point; DS Ultimate Lustre Photo Paper 300gsm sits at the top of the range for gallery-standard photographic prints.
Films
A specialist range covering screen positive film for pre-press and screen stencils, matte colour separation film, backlit film for illuminated signage, and optically clear film for window graphics. Not something every customer needs, but essential if you’re in signage or screen-print production. From £56.02 a roll.
Banner Media
Everything for events and exhibitions: economy tear-proof matte and gloss banner for short runs, grey-back roll-up and pop-up banner media purpose-built for display stands (the grey back stops show-through under lighting), and scrim vinyl for outdoor use. From £37.32 a roll.
Canvas
Cotton, poly-cotton and polyester canvas for photo and fine art reproduction — stretched canvas prints, gallery pieces and photo gifts. DS Essential Cotton Canvas 330gsm (from £49.48) covers most jobs; the Satin Poly-Cotton and Premium Satin Artist canvas ranges step up for gallery-standard work.
Fine Art Papers
Cotton rag, textured and fibre-based papers for gallery-quality giclée prints, all acid-free and built for archival longevity. DS Ultra Smooth Paper 280gsm (from £62.76) is the accessible way in; true 100% cotton rag (DS Smooth White Cotton Paper) starts from £101.96 a roll.
Self Adhesive Media
Matte, satin and gloss self-adhesive vinyl, polypropylene and paper for decals, POS graphics and permanent signage. Vinyl is the go-to for outdoor use and awkward surfaces since it stretches to fit; polypropylene is the lower-cost substitute where the application is flatter and more forgiving. From £28.87 a roll.
Wallcoverings
Smooth matte wallpaper and repositionable wall fabric for murals, exhibition graphics and interiors. The repositionable fabric can be removed and repositioned without damaging the wall or leaving residue — useful for anything temporary or in a rented space. From £70.41 a roll.
Textiles
Photo fabric, flag fabric and fire-retardant fabric for display graphics: party and promotional table cloths, hanging banners, flags and roller banners. Fire-retardant fabric is worth calling out specifically if you’re supplying venues or events with fire safety requirements. From £68.29 a roll.
Getting the exact roll and price
