Colortrac SmartLF Scan! features flexibility and ease of use. The Colortrac SmartLF Scan! features three modes of operation. TIFF and PDF files are generated inside the scanner and can be stored 1) in the scanner for transfer to a PC later, 2) directly on a USB stick, or 3) transferred via wired Ethernet, direct to a network, the Cloud, or PC. Collaborating with clients, teams, and colleagues has never been easier with the Colortrac SmartLF Scan! Amend drawings, scan the originals and leave them with your colleagues, then work online back at your office. Minimise project delays and collaborate easily by giving everyone access to the latest plans.

The Colortrac SmartLF Scan! large format scanner is designed for simple and portable scanning for your current projects. Use live on site without a laptop or PC, and use the internal scanner memory to store your scans. The internal memory works like a digital camera, with 6GB of internal memory, storing up to approximately 8 scans. Or access the front USB port and scan to your own USB stick. As-builds and other design changes can be scanned right away when you need them. In either case, transfer your scans at your convenience, to your office based PC, network, cloud or laptop.

In the office, the Colortrac SmartLF Scan! is ideal for multiple users, as no complex software is required. The Colortrac SmartLF Scan! auto-downloads TIFF and PDF files to your computer and can be edited using standard software. Using a standard USB connection, the Colortrac SmartLF Scan! connects to any PC or laptop and is designed for Windows 10, 8, and 7. The Colortrac SmartLF Scan! is fully network compatible and Ethernet connectivity means your entire team can link directly to SmartLF Scan! through your corporate network, making it ideal for multiple users and networking environments. The SmartLF Scan! can also work wirelessly. Scan up to 218 A1 documents an hour at 200 dpi!

The Colortrac SmartLF Scan! 36 weighs only 7 kg (15.4 lbs), and in its durable wheeled carry case, weighs in at just 14 kg (30.9 lbs). The lightweight and compact design of the Colortrac SmartLF Scan! makes it ideal for multiple users, and is easy to move it or store it as required. Simply bring the scanner to where you need to scan rather than bringing all the documents to the scanner.

Most wide format documents contain colour information that makes changes and other important information easy to understand. The Colortrac SmartLF Scan! supports full colour scanning at 24-bit RGB and grayscale and generates TIFF and PDF files.

SPECIFICATIONS

The Colortrac SmartLF Scan! features an optical and maximum resolution of 600 dpi. The Colortrac SmartLF Scan! features a scan speed at 200 dpi, up to 3 inches/second for colour, 4.5 inches/sec for monochrome. The Colortrac SmartLF Scan! 36 scans up to 36 inches/914.4 mm and can take a maximum media width up to 38 inches/965mm. The Colortrac SmartLF Scan! 36 can take a minimum media width of 6 inch (150mm). The Colortrac SmartLF Scan! 36 accepts media from 0.003 inches (0.07mm) to 0.02 inches (0.5mm) thick. Maximum image length for scanning is 50 inches (1270mm). The paper path is face up, front entry, and centered.

Colortrac SmartLF Scan! generates TIFF and PDF files which are viewable using native Windows Apps (Windows 10, 8, 7 compatible) or Adobe Acrobat. A small Windows program is supplied to receive live or stored scan files from the scanner. This is not required for scanning to a USB stick.

Colortrac SmartLF Scan! incorporates propriety technologies unique to Colortrac products. These technologies include SingleSensor scanning and DocLogic. Colortrac’s SingleSensor scanning is a patented technology which features a full width straight-line contact imaging sensor combined with bi-directional long-life LED lighting system for optimum object illumination and instant on scanning capability.

Colortrac’s DocLogic is an intelligent image optimisation system which automatically sets dpi of document or photos according to the physical size to maximum image quality and reduces the file size. The SmartLF Scan! also features a semi-automated resolution control, allowing for accuracy at your fingertips.

MANUFACTURER INFORMATION

Colortrac is a UK-based pioneer of large format scanning and a leading innovator in affordable colour and monochrome wide format scanning technology. Colortrac was founded in 1989 to develop digital large format scanning solutions for the oil exploration industry. Ten years later, in 1999, Colortrac acquired US-based ANAtech and Tangent Imaging Systems. Colortrac has a legacy of innovation and continues to develop first class, patented wide format scanning technologies developed since the early 1980s.

Colortrac launched thick media handling in 1998, LED lighting to improve illumination and output in 2007 and USB 3.0 connections between computer and scanner to speed connections in 2012. In 2014, Colortrac was the first to introduce what it calls a full-width scanner, featuring a SingleSensor that makes the scanners easier to use, with less need for calibration. Users are able to walk up to a scanner, do a scan and walk away with no formal training. In 2016, Colortrac introduced the first truly portable, lightest, easiest to use, lowest cost large format scanner on the market.

Colortrac offers a full range of large format scanning solutions incorporating first class technological breakthroughs. Colortrac’s SingleSensor/CIS is a major step forward in large format image capture and a huge improvement on staggered CIS technology. SingleSensor features single straight-line scanning accuracy from CCD scanners with low cost of CIS technology and is at the heart of Colortrac’s CIS scanners. SingleSensor requires virtually no routine maintenance by users and provides high definition, exceptional colour and dimensional accuracy, combined with ultra-fast scan speeds.

Colortrac has also concentrated on LED illumination for scanning, providing long life, low energy consumption with even, balanced lighting for high fidelity image reproduction. Colortrac scanners feature soft, motor-driven rollers superb for thin paper handling or thick mounted board handling.
