Our largest and most powerful large-format printer, the W8400 is equipped to deal with the most demanding print projects with ease. Building on the superb W8200, it features a stunning maximum resolution of 2400 x 1200dpi, a new one-inch print head and print driver plus enhanced usability and compatibility. The W8400 sets the industry standard for high-impact borderless printing by outputting common poster sizes, plus A0 and B0. The space-saving front load feature ensures it's as economical on floor space as it is in operation.

With A0 size prints in 2.2 minutes, the W8400 is a powerful asset when the clock's ticking, Bi-directional print technology, Canon's advanced MicroFine droplet Technology(tm) and our innovative one inch print head - distributing ink through 7,680 tiny nozzles - ensures a faster, more even and consistent result.

Superior quality images, down to the finest detail
The W8400 prints with clinical accuracy up to BO posters and with Canon's 6 colour printing process - incorporating micro-density photo magenta and photo cyan - colours have greater accuracy and tonal depth. The ingenious new print head delivers microscopic ink droplets, consistent in shape, size and density and a maximum resolution of 2400 x 1200dpi ensures the smallest characters and illustrative details look as fresh on paper as in real life.

Designed for cost-cutting productivity
The new W8400 is packed with technology and productivity-enhancing features. Large capacity ink tanks can be changed separately, reducing waste and costs. The optional media take-up unit allows continuous printout of a media roll, so overnight printing is a productive option. And with all operations performed at the front of the printer, the 44in wide W8400 does a big job, in a small space.

Engineered for full flexibility
One simple control panel makes operation easy. Media cutting is automatic on both cut and roll paper - loading simply means pulling out a tray to insert a roll. The W8400 is compatible with Mac and Windows and Canon's NetSpot(r) Suite software enables integrated management of all your networked printers.
